 START YOUR PUPPY OFF RIGHT FROM THE START! Grooming is a necessary part of every dog's life. We recommend bringing your dog in for their first grooming session at around 12 weeks (3 months) old. We will tailor a program to introduce your new baby to grooming in a positive way. We will progress through all the necessary grooming steps going at a pace that is comfortable for your pet’s individual personality & tolerance levels. During these 'training sessions, your pet will learn to acclimate to the grooming process in a healthy & positive environment. Pushing a puppy too hard & too fast can produce a frightened & possibly fear-aggressive dog that may become more difficult to groom over time. A slow introduction allows them to overcome fears & apprehensions associated with grooming and will help them learn to accept being handled without being combative or overly-stressed. If this trust is broken early-on by being forcefully handled & groomed, it can take tons of time & hard work to rebuild that bond & earn your pups trust back again.
