In order to provide the excellent service that
has become synonymous with The Beauty Pawlor, please adhere to the
following salon policies. This will allow for a smooth-running schedule
that so we can continue to provide the high-quality, one-on-one
service you have come to expect. The Beauty Pawlor does not offer
“conevor-belt-style” grooming, each dog has their own
allocated time slot where they get my undivided attention and are
not forced to sit and wait for long periods of time. In order to
be able to provide this kind of service, I must to stick to a strict
appointment schedule. This makes the days book up very quickly,
as there are only so many availble time-slots in a day. This quality
customer service is what makes The Beauty Pawlor a salon above the
rest and why you choose to come here for your dog-grooming needs.
So let’s work together in order to make our sessions run as
smoothly as possible. I truly appreciate your understanding, &
look forward to servicing you and your pet. Thank you so much.
CANCELLATIONS: Please give at
least 24 hours prior notice (weekdays) & 48 hours
(weekends) if you must cancel your appointment. Last
minute cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) will incur a $35
fee.
LATENESS: If you are running
late, please call as soon as possible so I can call my following
appointments and push them back. If you are running more than 30
minutes late, you may have to reschedule. I will try my best to
accomodate you.
NO SHOWS: If you do not show
for your appointment you will be charged for the full groom and
will have to pay in advance to secure future appointments.
MAINTENACE SCHEDULES: Proper
maintenance is necessary to keep your pet looking & feeling
his/her best. We will help you decide a reasonable time schedule
for your pet’s grooming maintenance (usually every 6-8 weeks).
If you exceed this time frame an additional fee will be assessed
to cover the extra time it will take to return your pets coat to
the desired condition.
PET PICK-UP: When you drop your
dog off at the salon, you will be given an approximate time for
pick up (Average 2-3 hours). I will call you when your dog is finished
and ready to be picked up. Unless prior arrangement have been made,
If you do not pick your dog up within 30 minutes of your scheduled
pick up time, an additional fee of: $10.00 per half hour with be
incurred.
DEMATTING: If your pet becomes
severly matted, he/she will have to be shaved. Even for tolerant
dogs, all-over body dematting is excruciatingly painful to remove.
It is in your pets’ best interest to be shaved and comfortable.
I will be glad to help you learn how to properly brush and maintainyour
dogs coat so you can avoid another shaving session in the future.
CAT POLICY: Cat grooming is not
offered. Cat grooming is a very specialized aspect of grooming,
please choose your cat groomer carefully.
AGGRESSIVE PETS: If your pet
shows signs of extreme stress or aggression, we recommend the session
be terminated. For some a mild tranquilizer (as prescribed by your
vet) may be appropriate until they learn to trust and accept the
grooming session. All necessary steps are taken here to keep your
pet calm & relaxed. Some animals have had bad past grooming experiences,
or no experience at all, and they will need some time to learn to
trust their groomer. In cases such as these, we recommend breaking
the sessions down into smaller, more tolerable sessions - with the
ultimate goal of building up to a full session. Additional fees
will be incurred.
SKUNKED DOGS: Call for an emergency
appointment immediately! The sooner the dog receives treatment the
better! Timeliness is a critical factor in successful removal of
the skunk odor!
FLEAS & TICKS: If you notice
your fur-kid has fleas, please call immediately so we can make arrangements
to get you in ASAP. For a heavily infestation we may request that
you contact your veterinarian to apply topical flea/tick product
(like Frontline) after your pets grooming session to prevent further
infestation. You may also want to ask your vet about CAPSTAR, an
oral medication that will kill any flea on your pet (it actually
begins working in 30 minutes!).
When a flea infestation occurs - the home environment
(your home, their bedding, your yard, your car etc.) must be treated
to kill any of the fleas, flea eggs and larvae that remain. Please
be sure to treat the dog & the environment to successfully rid your
home & pet of fleas. Keep your pet on a regular grooming schedule.
A clean, well-groomed pet is the best way to keep the flea problem
at bay. After successful extermination of the parasites, I will
help you maintain your flea-free lifestyle!
Please feel free to call or email with any questions
you may have. We understand that you are trusting us with your furry-kids
& have a lot of questions - so please ask away!
